Another thing to mention about Messmer being connected to dragons, is his sobriquet. The Impaler. Who else had that sobriquet? Vlad Dracula. Dracula literally means "son of the Dragon." I admit I might be seeing connections where none exist, but I can't help but wonder. The Impaler is not a common sobriquet after all.

I have a theory on why they lost their scales and are mortal. You mentioned in the video that one of the race of humans were of Dragon kin, and possibly were from the mating of Dragon and Human, So its entirely possible that the Wyverns were offspring of Dragons and Humans as well.

Melina has no substantial lore, no other characters ever aknowledge her, she keeps disappearing. Where does she go? Is she a spirit? Shes the most enigmatic character besides Miquella.

Since there is already incesty undertones in this story and in GRRM’s own writings, maybe Mesmer’s blasphemous appearance and nature is due to having sex with Merika and birthing Melina. Impaling Merika through her womb as a symbolic means to purify her womb or to stop Merika from being able to ever give birth again. Idk just throwing out some random thoughts I was having through this watch.

I wonder would it work with your main weapon being the Serpent God's Curved sword or ofc can also use the rhykkard sword for the health return on kill. ofc wont be as useful against bosses, but i feel like great stars also wont heal you enough in boss fights either Another cool option for the frost twinblade, if you use Eleonora's Poleblade as a switch weapon you could use that to reset frostbite while keeping to the same gameplay and never needing to cast spells, keeping the same playstyle, and having an extremely strong ash of war with pretty good stance break (found this to be helpful as someone who doesnt like casting spells lol)

I've been having a lot of fun in ng+ with malenia's great rune paired with blessed dew talisman, beastial vitality, takers cameo, and maybe crimson dagger talisman or you can give yourself better guard capacity/counter damage. Then you can guard with your main weapon and tank a lot more damage. Really good also paird with rotten sword insignia and decent poise, somethign liek the knight's greatsword will tank through just about any enemy in the game with just it's light attacks. Not a particularly good build for bosses but I just switch some talismans around to optimize for bosses if I need to.

About the maidens cloth, you can also go to the four belfries and to the tower. From the top tower, get the imbued stone sword key and head directly south. After the first tower, take a left and go to that tower. Place the imbued stone sword key and place it in. If done correctly, you will arrive in the sky island that you teleported to at the very start of the game. Kill the grafted scion, it will give you rewards and access to the easier to reach maidens cloth. From there go up into the church and inside you will find a dead maiden. Collect its blood and your done

The cutscene bloom was the THIRD bloom. It would make no sense for it to be the second bloom and have the literal first attack of melenia phase 2 be another bloom attack. I get gameplay doesn't always translate to lore, but to have such an important action [blooming] be just another attack indicates that it's now a regular part of the toolkit, so if it was the SECOND bloom, then her opening attack would put her at THREE blooms which kinda defeats the purpose of the cutscene. As for the description that states it has only bloomed twice, I think it's fair to be interpreted as talking about melenia BEFORE her fight with tarnished. Yes it's a bit of a strech, but not as much as disregarding her literal "goddess of rot" title and the fact that she gets access to unlimited blooming and is programmed to open with another bloom.

Placidusax used his Storm Element to recreate the Kingdom that was destroyed by Astel / Meteor, but its influence was "Crumbling" as it could no longer Expand or Strengthen itself by burying its dead in the Ground, improving their connection with the "Lands Between". All of the other Outer Gods infect the Land that they reign over. Without the existence of the Time Affinity buried into the "Lands Between", the other Outer Gods were able gain strength, which led to the flight of the "Nameless God". Evidence: All Modern Dragons use elemental affinities of the Land that they live in, because their nests are partially buried into the Ground, and they no longer have the Time Affinity stone scales to separate the other affinities from their biology.
